Swedish choir conductor Bosse Johansson shares

In connection with World Voice Day 2022, Sweden focuses on Choral singing – health & integration.

Partly with a lecture evening on April 7, partly a large choir concert in Stockholm on April 21, 2022.

Both events are dedicated to the memory of the choir conductor and music educator Bosse Johansson.

Bosse Johansson (1943–2016), internationally known choir conductor, founder of, among others, Adolf Fredrik’s Girls’ Choir – legendary music teacher at Adolf Fredrik’s Music Classes, member of the Swedish Royal Academy of Music etc.

In a series of short films, he shares his experiences.

#1:
About the secret of always listening to the choristers’ musical thoughts.

#2:
About the secret of building a common feeling in the choir.

#3:
About the necessity of phrasing, a k a phrasing in the girl choir world of Adolf Fredrik’s. ’The carrot’ becomes the image.

The films are made by Margot Lande and Joakim Kempff, Stockholm.

The film episodes are taken from a unique (and large) material that was recorded on the initiative of Margot Lande in the autumn of 2010, the semester that was Bosses last as a music teacher/girl choir conductor at Adolf Fredrik’s Music Classes.
